Further Update

While the surgery was a success, the recovery has been far from seamless. She was sent to recovery around 6:30 and she is technically still recovering...5 hours later! She has been admitted for observation over the night. Considering her pulse was in the 40's and all her vitals were low, it is probably a good idea. Her vitals are in better shape which is why I am currently able to keep her company, but she still has the oxygen tubes in her nose as well as IV's. Her pulse is only in the 50's right now. She looks like she has been through hell and has serious nausea. Interestingly when she informed the anesthesiologist about her having problems with general anesthesia in the past, he said that medicines have changed significantly since then. Famous words, right?! As for Abigail, I am told by my stepmother Liz that she is currently chewing her fingers getting ready to fall asleep. Hopefully the next post will be a little happier.
