The feeding frenzy is over!!! We took Abbie in this morning to get weighed at the pediatricians', and Miss Chunky Monkey gained 9.5 oz in 5 days. She is now at a better weight and we don't have to feed her every 2 hours. Woo hoo!!! We will actually have some time to get something else done...like sleep!
Speaking of sleep, we got some last night!! We had been having issues with putting Abbie down by herself at night. She falls asleep in our arms, but wakes up when we put her back in the cradle. Our friends the Hindall's came over last night and brought us dinner. While we were eating they told us what they did with their son. They pre-heated his mattress with a heat pad prior to putting him in it. When they put him in the cool mattress woke him up, but the heated mattress didn't. Well we tried it and it worked like a charm...last night at least. I don't want to jinx anything yet. So maybe things are starting to come together! Scot and Katherine, thanks for the tip!
